It's HERE!!! For all you Nunsense lovers. The sisters of Hoboken are back and I do mean back! NUNSENSE II: THE SECOND COMING could easily be subtitled "the rest of the story." The sequel to the international hit musical NUNSENSE takes place approximately six weeks after the first "benefit performance."
Director Thom Clemmons says he very grateful to his extremely talented actors, staff, and crew saying, " Ron Veenker, whose own experiences being raised in theater and as a musician and actor, makes him a fine musical director who understands the needs of other actors. Bev Veenker also grew up in theater and dance. Her extensive experience as a professional dancer, dance teacher, teacher and choreographer for over 40 years brings to life the intent of a song through movement. Paul Bertelsen, who was once a set and light designer and stage manager on Broadway, has once again created with Vic Guarino a set that is both beautiful and actor friendly, allowing them to enhance their performances with a great use of space. Joyce Mahoney and her staff have provided beautiful and very workable costumes and props that allow the actors to work with a greater sense of completeness. And in the tech booth, we have Frank Blackmon as our lighting designer and Katie Deese as our sound designer. The work of both completes the theatrical experience the audience."
The six performances will run at 7:30 on Friday and Saturday, April 13, 14, 20, 21, with 3pm Sunday matinees April 15 and 22. Advance tickets available through the Odell Williamson Auditorium Box Office. Adults - $17 and $15 for students. Not recommended for children under 12.
